We are working to deliver two rolling stock projects in Changchun.
The Quality Coordinator role is primarily responsible for oversight of manufacturing activity at the local Changchun facility, in accordance with contractor inspection schedules. The role will include witness and monitoring of manufacturing activities and critical quality hold points, providing reports to support progressive acceptance of the rolling stock, and liaising directly with Contractor personnel to assure the rolling stock is being manufactured in accordance with design and procedures.

Reporting to the Quality Assurance and Acceptance Manager, the role will be flexible to work within all areas of the manufacturing as directed, which may include headstock and bolster, body shell, bogie, cab manufacture, fit-out and test and commissioning. Deployment of the Quality Co-Ordinator will be at the sole discretion of the Quality and Assurance and Acceptance Manager, taking into consideration workload balancing along with each individual’s skills, experience and knowledge

We are looking for persons with;

•    Knowledge of general Rolling Stock manufacturing inspections in accordance with inspection & audit schedules, conducting validation and verification inspections & audits, preparing inspection reports and recommendations.

•    Education to a degree or diploma level in Engineering or a similar discipline
•    Significant direct previous experience in rolling stock manufacturing inspections.
•    Knowledge of quality assurance auditing with a minimum 5 years’ experience in a role of responsibility.
•    Desirable – bi-lingual proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English

•     Working knowledge of International welding requirements.
•     Experience of visual inspection of rolling stock and mechanical / electrical testing requirements.
•     Possessing strong technical / manufacturing base skills and capable of addressing and resolving issues directly with the Contractor.
•     Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels.
