We are now looking for a Product Support Manager- Mechanical Cutting – China for Sandvik Mining & Rock Technology. The location for this position is Shanghai .
Key performance areas
As Product Support Manager, As Product Support Manager you capture detailed product performance understand customers application & requirements and provide input to CPE and NPD. Product link and support, between manufacturer and customer through the life cycle of the product within your specified region of Sandvik Mining & Rock Technology.
Included in your responsibility is for example to:
To ensure personal and team safety and promote a 'Safety First' culture
Provide application and product training for sales people on current offering (direct sales and distributors)
Coordinate relevant data from the market for the development of new products offering
Continuous product improvement focusing on MTTR and MTBF
Organize product field test (location and logistics)
Gather and report information on competition (performance, pricing, stocking, etc.)
Identify issues and needs of customers and document customer user requirements for future products
Support PLM team in defining road maps for future product offering
Coordinate Service Engineering, Product Management, Parts and Equipment in order to effectively support the products through their life cycle
Capture customer insights to include in customer specific marketing material
For each machine with local modifications, collect scope of work and cost and communicate to PLM
Collect data on product performance
Develop Total life Cycle Cost and product performance models
Support the Product Managers to develop the Product Strategy and Product Pricing Strategy
Work with Product Application specialists on projects requiring detailed application related studies & input.
You report to the Product Line Manager based at Austria within Sandvik Mining & Rock Technology.
This position includes extensive travelling.
Your profile
We expect that you have a degree in a Mechanical / Mining engineering. You have Minimum 5 years of experience with Underground Coal Mining Industry.
The desired competencies required for this role are as follows:
Practical knowledge on Mechanical Cutting Machines& Mobile Bolter products and applications
Project management
Coal Mining market knowledge (eg. Market development, new technologies)
Evaluate and analyse the current business situation, define goals and objectives, establish a plan to achieve defined targets.
Understand business processes, coordination of projects and engineering and workflows.
Plan for market share growth by anticipating the future needs of the business and putting the necessary groundwork in place to achieve this growth.
Open minded person with strong serving attitude
Result oriented working style
You are dedicated, result oriented and with a genuine interest and passion for sales. With excellent communication skills. With a perceptive personality, you easily create a trusting environment for collaboration, team work and sharing of best practice between boarders. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken. Other language skills are advantageous.
