Purpose:
Business Development Director (BDD) is responsible for driving new business opportunities with new and existing customers and developing differentiated winning strategies to close and retain profitable business for Flex Computing. For Global Accounts, BDD works in close co-operation with Global Account Manager
Principle Accountabilities:
l Knows the Customer:
o Gives Flex Computing insight into customer's decision making process
o Knows Flex Computing Competitors active within the customer
l Responsible for developing and retaining strategic alliance relationships with key customers.
l Provides market intelligence (with support of marketing)
l Provides customer relevant competitor analysis (with support of marketing)
l Identifies new target customers and opportunities for organic growth with existing customers
l Pre-Qualifies Account
l Works w/ Finance to complete credit check and run D&B to ensure customer is financially viable
l Develops and executes Account Penetration Strategy considering how each Vistapoint service can add value and improve competitiveness of the customer
l 1, 3, and 5 year revenue/profit plan
l Helps to build Customer loyalty and creates barriers to exit (i.e. differentiated propositions that the competition can't match)
l Create value that increases customer competitiveness
l Owns and drives the execution of the account strategy to close business
l Has Knowledge of Flex Computing capabilities to determine and organize the best fit for the Customer account requirements
l Responsible for proposal development and generation (differentiated)
l Customer RFIs, ensures quality/completed RFI submitted to customer
l Quotation development; ensures that profitable business achieves segment Margin and ROIC goals
l Contract negotiation with the support of the Flex Computing Executive and legal teams and appropriate authorizations from both Flex Computing and the Customer
l Reviews CSMP (Customer Satisfaction Measurement Program) and participates in generating solutions
l Drive vertical integration opportunities across the account.
l Checks customer perception of performance - provides early warning on issues
Requirements:
l B.S. degree or above in engineering or business
l 10+ Years of computing industry experience including at least five years in sales, marketing, key accunt mgmt and business development
l Established computing network in China
l Fluent English and Chinese is a must
l Highly communication skills
l Deep understanding on China business and local business practice
l Proven capability in customer networking, business development, and sale generation
l Global computing Tier 1 working experience prefered.
