Job Summary:

？ Support Sales Account Manager – IH& HH

o Review and communicate customers’ technical requirements to the global team; may include visual reviews, photos, engineering prints, CAD models, and specifications

o Develop product offering for customer applications

o Conduct product training

？ Conduct technical training for direct and distribution customers

？ Respond to customer quality complaints for all customers

？ Respond to customer requests for replacement or service parts

？ Interface with suppliers, as required

？ Document application case studies

Examples of Essential Functions:

？ Interpret customer input to develop a clear understanding of customer needs and expectations.

？ Communicate customer needs and collaborate with global teams to identify Barksdale products to meet those needs.

？ Gain customer approval of Barksdale engineering prints

？ Respond to customer quality complaints

o Understand complaint

o Review and test returned products

o Communicate customer feedback and inspection findings to Barksdale engineering / manufacturing teams

o Coordinate communication of resolution back to customers

o Document communication through customer 8D format, as required

？ Conduct customer training on design, installation and use of Barksdale products

？ Attend and oversee customer builds for applications, new customers, critical tests, etc.

？ Participate in global conference calls to address open issues, execute existing projects and develop new projects and products

QUALIFICATIONS GUIDELINES

Experience/Training/Education:

Required:

？ Three to five (3-5) or more years of experience in engineering, preferably including automotive or pneumatic or hydraulic systems experience.

？ Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.

？ Proficient in reading and writing English

？ Able to read and understand engineering datasheets and drawings, and review competitor products via datasheets, understand product capability and function.

？ CAD system knowledge

？ Ability to interface with customers, sales, engineering and product management personnel

Skills:

Must be completely PC literate and able to effectively use all related software programs

Must be capable of interpreting and creating engineering drawings.

Ability to:

？ Plan, organize, and manage your time independently

？ Evaluate and implement effective engineering and project management approaches to increase customer satisfaction

？ Conduct effective training programs and make persuasive and successful oral and written technical presentations

？ Write clear and concise technical correspondence, reports and recommendations

？ Communicate and work cooperatively with co-workers, departmental representatives, sales representatives, distributors, management and customers.

Special Requirements:

？ Ability to work extended or unusual work hours and travel extensively domestically.

？ “Hands-on” mechanical proficiency

？ Prefer proficiency in spoken English.
