Title: Account Director
Reporting To: Client Service Director
Role:
■ A key role within the agency, the Account Director will be responsible for harnessing the various skill sets within the business and managing (and in some case owning) the day-to-day client relationships in order to deliver the highest quality branding and design programs on time and to budget
■ Effective management (and in some cases leadership) of Client relationships and agency resource to deliver great branding programs
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management:
■ Long-term and day-to-day management of one large account or multiple accounts
■ Communicate and network at Board Level with highly respected multinational organisations
■ Lead one KCP relationship
Project Management:
Manage the Administration:
■ Effectively handle all aspects of client communications including setting and exceeding expectations for all projects
■ Seek out ways to improve client satisfaction as well as expand client relationships
■ Learns how to contribute to Consulting and Design process
■ Working with Client Service Director to implement new ways of working that allow the Company to deliver quality work faster and cheaper
■ Helps raise the profile of the Company in the professional & Clients’ communities
■ Quickly acquiring proficiency in the tools and methods that we used to develop branding an design programs
■ Works with peers in other disciplines to produce integrated communications that build Brands
■ Prepare case studies upon the completion of projects
Manage the team:
■ Ensure design studio are working to correct job and stage number
■ Arrange transfer of work between team and Creative Studio
■ Brief design studio of any ad hoc client requests
■ Works to anticipate problems and improve performance of the overall team
■ Coaches and brings best practice in account service skills to the junior members of the Client Service team
■ Encourages a climate of creativity and innovation in the team
Manage the Brief:
■ Attend internal reviews of work
■ Contribute to/develop strategies and briefs that inspire great work
Manage the Finances:
■ Raise ongoing estimates for any additional fees/costs in agreement with AD
■ Be aware of any discounted/favoured rates that a project may be working to
■ Ensure all on going client requests for files, pdfs CD-Roms are billed to client
■ Monitor fee and cost spend against estimates on weekly basis; chase finance department for copies of invoices, couriers etc.
■ Advise billing status to accounts departments at weekly billing meetings
■ Support debt collection efforts
■ Ensures that Clients are efficiently charged for the work the Company has performed and that they pay for it
■ Works with peers within the network to apply best practice and deliver improved financial performance, a strong client base and industry-leading credentials
Production:
■ Manage the production process on a day to day basis
■ Collate all required client information – print specs, copy, print contract details etc
■ Review create artwork schedules and timing charts
■ Liaise changes and information between production/design studio and client team
■ Book third party origination artists; raise purchase orders etc
■ Ensure delivery of artwork to correct destinations with final signatures
■ File all artwork
Main Requirements:
■ Bachelor Degree or above
■ 8+ years agency experiences or equivalent
■ Excellent communication skills with proficiency in oral and written English and Chinese
■ A demonstrable track record in helping to pitch and win new projects / clients.
■ Methodical with an eye for detail.
■ Good working experience on account and event management, good sales skills and cross-functional coordination.
■ Must have a very positive attitude and be passionate at work.
■ Demonstrate strategic or consultative approach to account management.
■ Demonstrate strong proposal writing and pitch preparation skills with team.
■ Maintain good communication with existing clients and develop new market and clients.
■ Demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills to effectively articulate ideas to clients, colleagues and others.
■ Good leading, coordinating and organizing skills. Be able to independently lead team to complete event and responsible for the results.
