Job Title: In Market- Quality Program Manager

Division: Microsoft Devices Group

Location: Beijing, China

Microsoft Devices (China), Beijing Quality team is looking for an In Market- Quality Program Manager to manage product field quality for the first category products. Successful candidates will ensure product quality in In market phase for both HW and SW. He/She owns and will be responsible for assuring and improving product quality in the field. It include HW and Sw quality management of SW to be released in IM Phase.

– Owns overall quality risk management plan and key quality KPIs (e.g. OCR, WCE)

– Provides Feedback to development engieneering team so that issues can be resolved proactively in new products.

Primary responsibilities include :

Product Quality Assurance

* Pro-actively follow up and drive down product related quality Key Performance Indicators :

Operational Claim Rate (OCR);

Average Warranty Cost per Product (AWCpP);

Corrective Action Process Resolution Time (CAP RT).

Analyze consumer feedback using Net Promoter Score (NPS) data.

Field Feedback Analysis and Error Prioritization

* Delivering consumer and customer needs to R&D and product management and ensure that the solutions are delivered to customer as committed.

* Explain the top failures and major errors that must be corrected.

* Track whether implemented fixes are working or not.

Markets Care Hand-over

* Share and align error priorities, product challenges and solution on regular basis with regional Markets Care and get their feedback.

* Hand-over product to Care accordingly to EOL process.

Early Involvement in PD Programs

* IM PQM establishes a collaborative way of working with the PD QPM by supporting the PD QPM with data and information from the field when requested.

* IM QPM participates in the Concept Risk Evaluation review (CRE) and in the B1 tier down review to get the opportunity to share “bad” or “good” solutions from In-markets products to either prevent repeating errors or help to improve the design. In this role the IM PQM is only in a supporting role and the PD PQM has full ownership and responsibility.

IM SW Quality insurance

*Main objective of the role is to drive software quality target setting activities and quality improvements to reach Sales Software quality targets.

* Working with SW team to ensure error reported by Market get resolved in Im SW release and also in new PD SW’s.

Qualified candidates should have the following:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering or related discipline.

Typically 9-12 years relevant experience. Recognized expert in their field (depth & breadth).

Program Management Experience (including working with external partners).

Strong Program Business and Consumer understanding vs. warranty cost, OCR and customer requirements

Understanding about quality management in Demand Supply Network, Sourcing and Care to ensure quality throughout the full DSN pipeline.

Experience in the different phases of the product life cycle (from pre-concepting to EOL).

Leadership, Program and Project Management skills

Influencing and collaboration skills.

Quality Management Systems

Demonstrated skills in utilizing FMEA, QFD, DoE, VOC as well as roots cause/problem solving tools like Ishikawa, 5 Why, to identify quality issues. (6 sigma)

Risk Management and mitigation

Consumer and User Experience

Engineering processes (HW and SW) understanding

Networking & communication and presentation skills

Fluent English
