Position Title: Research Associate

Position Overview:

Research Associates work directly with clients, managing and executing primary research deliverables. They are responsible for helping to grow the practice, executing on client research requests, and establishing and cultivating relationships with experts across China.

Key Responsibilites:

GLG Research Associates in our client-facing offices are responsible for:

1. Facilitating educational interactions between members of the GLG expert network and our clients, to enable our clients to make more informed and confident investment decisions. Research Associates are tasked with fulfilling time sensitive research requests by analyzing client requests, and building and qualifying primary populations of topic experts. Most GLG client – expert interactions consist of telephone consultations but also may consist of surveys, research travel programs, and in-depth engagements.

2. Programming live meetings. Client-facing Research Associates are responsible for organizing and hosting small group conversations between GLG experts and GLG clients.

3. Enhancing the GLG Councils. Developing relationships with GLG’s most respected thought leaders and KOLs in the Healthcare sector, as well as recruiting new senior executives and leading consultants into the GLG Councils through research, networking, and direct outreach.

4. Growing GLG client relationships. Developing relationships with GLG clients, who are primarily lead investment professionals across Asia and Australia. This relationship development will stem from in-person client meets, project execution, and telephone interactions.

5. Team-wide collaboration. Research Associates are expected to work closely with our Sales and Business Development team and other sector-specialized Research Associates to develop customized products for GLG clients.

Required Skills:

1. Bachelor's degree or higher from a Top tier undergraduate institution
2. 2 - 3 years experience with market research/investment related industry, market research or financial services firm experience will be a plus
3. Demonstrated entrepreneurial / leadership skills
4. Experience interacting with senior executives
5. Native Mandarin skills with fluent speaking in English
