1.What are my responsibilities?
-Responsible for the implementation of Engineering Requirements in Power Plant Business mainly but not only for the Mechanical Engineering discipline.
-The Responsibility subdivides into two main parts of the Project Business:
1.1.Pre-acquisition phase and early Project execution phase
-Support country Procurement during pre-acquisition (technical procurement), increase local technical competencies to limit required support and involvement of Centers of Technologies (CoT’s) and further Headquarters functions to special requests.
-Screen local supply market together with local Supply Chain Management; share relevant findings with Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Engineering Centers of Technology (CoT’s) (responsible for the qualification of potential sub-suppliers); support the CoT’s in the qualification process.
-Attend and perform management system and technical audits at suppliers
-Analyze customer specification (in-house or external Customers), find optimized solutions and minimize risks in order to ensure a competitive bid based on proven concepts.
-Check and evaluate supplier offers.
-Review all costs, risks and technical concepts within own engineering discipline.
-Clarify open items in between the involved Parties, i.e. suppliers, Procurement and Engineering both local as well as in our Headquarters in order to achieve a best cost basis for best price Power Station Offers
1.2.Project execution phase
-Manage and expedite Contracts with local suppliers in order to achieve the three goals of Project Execution: SCHEDULE, COSTS and QUALITY!
-Lead and organize project daily work and troubleshoot difficulties during project plan, execution, closing phase.
-Organize and lead regular project meetings with internal and external interfaces
-Regular project status reporting to different management level
-Identify risks in project schedule and initiate counter measures
-Timely expediting at suppliers to detect potential quality or schedule issues and actively take countermeasures. -Risk assessment to prevent quality issues or production delay.

2.What do I need to qualify for this job?
-University Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
-5 years of experience in a similar role.
-Substantial power plant experience - ideally this should include service in a foreign country.
-High level of expertise in all fields of power plant engineering, broad base of experience in contract management, experience in solving complex problems.
-Sensitivity towards other cultures in the respective countries.
-Excellent knowledge of technical English language (in writing and speaking)
-Chinese language fluently spoken as well as in writing and reading
-Team Player
-Excellent communication skills
-Initiative
-Result and quality driven
