Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

1.Understand and finalize specifications on the SW test requirements through communication with customers and/or internal project leader or system design engineer
2.Estimate the effort, plan the tasks and define the time requirement
3.Create and maintain SW test document
4.Create Unit/module Test spec for design validation
5.Conduct or participate in SW test, validation and performance evaluation, as required according to the quality standards and project timing schedule
6.Provide technical consults and advices as a highly experienced professional to software group members
7.Possibly lead a software test group as required
8.Support department manager in identifying future technologies and implementing new software design tools and methodologies.
9.Report progress to project manager
10.Disciplinary reporting to SW Manager or Senior Manager

Requirements / Qualifications :

1.Bachelor or above degree in electronic engineering, computer science or similar disciplines
2.More than 5 years industry experience including at least 3 year experience in software development/testing & verification, preferred in automotive industry
3.Knowledge and experience on embedded microprocessors/controllers that are commonly used in automotive applications, a definite plus
4.Design test cases, write test spec and test plan according to requirements and design documents.
5.Skillfully use CVS/SVN version management tool or other SW management tools.
6.Experience in white-box test.
7.Deep understanding and working knowledge on automotive product development process, especially related to the SW design validation process and requirements
8.Strong statistics analysis skills and knowledge of statistical process and tools required
9.Knowledge and skill in C/C++ language programming, MS project and MS Office required
10.Software development/testing experience in embedded system is a plus
11.Excellent problem resolution, judgment and decision making skills
12.Excellent in logical thinking and communication.
