Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

1.Working with design engineers to define product design testing and validation process and requirements
2.Conduct product design tests and validation according to design specifications and validation requirements that may be defined by customers and/or internal design quality group.
3.Also be a key contributor for product quality insurance, and design improvement in terms of quality, performance, cost and time to the market.
4.Understand and finalize the specifications and test process for the product design validation through communication with project leader and/or the design engineers
5.Estimate the effort, plan the tasks and define the time requirement
6.Conduct the product design validation tests according to the design specifications and project timing schedule
7.Analyze the test results with design engineers for design confirmation and design improvements if needed.
8.Create and maintain all the design test and validation documents
9.Maintain close communication with production plants to support industrialization process
10.Support department manager in identifying future technologies and implementing new test tools and methodologies to improve the test process and reduce the cost and time.
11.Report progress to project manager and design engineers
12.Disciplinary reporting to Manager or Senior Manager.

Requirements / Qualifications :

1.B.A. in electrical or electronics engineering or other engineering field. M.S. degree a plus
2.More than five years industry experience including at least two-year experience in product test validation and design verification, preferred in automotive industry
3.Deep understanding and working knowledge on automotive product development process, especially related to the design validation process and requirements
4.Experience preferred in designing, developing and debugging electronic and electromechanical systems for Board Level Functional Tests.
5.Deep knowledge of analog and digital circuitry and their test theories and methodologies required
6.Good experience and knowledge of using different vendors’ test instruments expected, such as Scopes, Spectrum analyzers, and so on.
7.Strong statistics analysis skills and knowledge of statistical process and tools required
8.Experience and technical skill in commonly used CAE/CAD tools for HW design and PCB layout design, a definitely plus
9.Knowledge and experience on system modeling, simulation and design CAE/CAD tools such as Matlab and Simulink Toolbox are preferred.
10.Knowledge and skill in C/C++ language programming, MS project and MS Office required
