Lead Game Engine Engineer
About the job
- Lead a highly capable and high performing team of engineers to extend, optimize Unity3D engine and supply tools to game developing teams.
- Allocate engineering resources to match business and production goals.
- Act as a mentor, identify and encourage the development potential with each individual.
- Cooperate with design, art, engineer and production teams for optimal solutions to production requirements.
- Hands-on architect and coder for core engine extensions and tough bugs.
- Innovate and iterate on process, systems and technology to deliver tools to game developing teams.
- Leading evaluation and integration of 3rd party plugins for fast product iteration.?
- Keep an eye on technology trends and advancements of mobile game industry.
- Think about the big picture and help production team to avoid risky solutions.
About you
- 5 years or more working experience in a similar position.
- Passionate about games in general.
- Proficient in the language of your choice. Unity3D, C# experience is a bonus.
- Proved solid knowledge in 2D/3D game engine design/extension such as 2D/3D graphics, memory management, AI, pathing, scripting etc.
- Be in a leading position in any released games is a bonus.
- Excellent knowledge of the game industry and development landscape.
- Excellent knowledge of mobile game technology.
- Strong all-around programming skills, good understanding of interactive entertainment methodologies and production pipeline.
- Must have experience working effectively at the technical and management level.
- Good organizational, leadership and communication skills.
- Fluent in both English and Chinese.
