POSITION: Sarment Sommelier (Beijing)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
As Sarment‘s Sommelier in Beijing, the position holder will be active in Sarment Beijing to provide excellent wine services for the marketing team as well as sales support. S/he will contribute excellent wine knowledge and professional training and services to the company’s customers/staff, all the while building Sarment’s brand image.

S/he will report to the Head of Wine of the company and work cooperatively with the local business development manager, marketing team, logistics team and other team members for the fast development of the company’s business in the Beijing area.

Team work and trans-regional collaboration with the marketing, sales, finance and HR teams in the other cities in which the company operates is a must.

The position will entail the following responsibilities:
Deliver excellent wine service to clients, including but not limited to cellar management;
Wine pairing consultancy for clients;
Work within the taste preference and budget parameters of the clients;
Provide clients with professional wine training and consultancy services;
Contribute to the development of wine lists, give advice on wine procurement, wine storage and other technical aspects;
Contribute to Sarment’s business development with expert wine knowledge and market insight;
Work cooperatively with the Sales Director, BD manager, marketing team, logistics team and other team members;
Contribute to other tasks that the Sarment team may request for the company’s efficient operation and business development.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 2 years of working experience as sommelier
With expert wine knowledge ; WSET certification Level 3 minimum or other relevant certification
References from 4 or 5 star international hotels, premium restaurants or other high end establishments
Strong service awareness and track record of success
Demonstrate strong people skills
Sales-driven personality
Team spirit
Good English & Chinese, other languages are a plus
Basic computer skills
