Regional Manager, Greater China
Point Grey Research® Inc. is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, organized individual to fill the position of Regional Manager, Greater China. Under the direction of the Director of Sales and Marketing, the Regional Manager, Greater China is responsible for directing the sales efforts of direct sales representatives and distributors in China and Taiwan, ensuring that sales and product targets are met or exceeded. Specific responsibilities include addressing pricing and delivery issues; ensuring forecasts and distributor point-of-sales reports are accurate and timely; managing any channel conflicts that may arise; and supporting distributors by directly engaging with end customers.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Create strategic growth plans and specific revenue targets for the Greater China market by product, customer class, and
industry
- Manage select key accounts within the territory
- Review forecasts, opportunities, and weekly reports from direct sales representatives
- Conduct regular regional sales review meetings
- Work with internal sales planners and coordinators on appropriate reports and process changes
- Prepare weekly reports of sales activities and potential sales activities
- Prepare quarterly reports for senior and executive managers
- Work with marketing on promotion and lead generation strategies
- Keep senior management informed of market trends and customer feedback
- Participate in promotional events such as trade shows and conferences
The Regional Manager must be an effective team leader with strong abilities to manage a dynamic sales group, and be able to work cross-functionally with other departments in the organization – customer support, product management, marketing, and inside sales – to achieve sales targets and maximize customer satisfaction.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or greater in Business Administration, Business Management, Commerce, Marketing, or Technology
Management
- 7-10 years of experience marketing and selling technology products to hardware engineers, product managers, senior
managers, and purchasers
- Fluent in Mandarin and English
- Willingness to travel quarterly (minimum) each year to the assigned territory
- Proven experience managing and leading a team of people to positive results
- Strong interpersonal, customer relations, and networking skills
- Goal-driven and able to develop and manage a strategic growth initiative
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influence skills
- Proven presentation skills and experience speaking in public
- Must be self-motivated and energetic with a high level of commitment
- Experience with enterprise-level CRM and ERP systems
- Proficient computer skills and ability to manipulate data for analysis and reporting
- Technical education (preferably in electrical engineering) is an asset
