Title：Biometrics Application Developer

Location: Shanghai

Responsible for developing and supporting Biometrics tools used by the user community such as data transformation tools and reporting data modeling tools. This role is a bridge between IT and the business and sits in the business of biometrics. Your strong business background and technical skills coupled with your solid understanding of what users experience will be essential in effectively developing and supporting these tools.

? Develop and maintain analysis system tools and requirements with the user community.

? Liaise with data managers, statisticians and statistical programmers working on early and/or development stage projects and participate in the lifecycle activities for generic tools (across project programs).

? Provide input to process development and ensure compliance with group processes and overall company standards.

? Provide statistical software and software development and documentation support to all groups within the Biometrics Department.

? Adapt quickly to a complex and dynamic technical environment.

? Give advice and provide training on SAS and other software usage and support users in problem solving and business need analysis.

Qualifications:

? Minimum of 2 year Undergraduate Degree with a major emphasis on numerate discipline.

? 2-5 years of working experience in application development.

? 2-5 years of experience analyzing clinical trials data in the pharmaceutical industry.

? Ability to process information, analyze data, and reach conclusions based on sound reasoning.

? Sound knowledge & understanding of industry data standards, in particular CDISC’s SDTM and ADaM.

? Appreciation for the MedDRA classification of adverse events and use of Standardized MedDRA Queries (SMQs) would be an advantage.

? Expert understanding of safety analysis concepts for clinical trial data domains.

? Advanced understanding of efficacy analysis concepts for clinical trials.

? Expert knowledge of SAS with UNIX and PC experience.

? Communicates clearly and effectively in written reports, data presentations and meetings as required.

? Establishes and maintains good working relationships; is co-operative. Takes cultural and value differences into account in dealings with others.

? Application of logical processes/conceptual thinking/Problem Analysis and Solving.

? Ability to communicate concisely, clearly and accurately in written reports and data, presentations and one-to-one meetings as required.

? Ability to work simultaneously on different activities.
