Primary Activities & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

v Store Opening - responsible for everything after the contract has been signed to opening the store.

Construction issues

§ Measurement of store and understanding of space. Before design will visit personally each site for measurement and understanding the space.

§ Prepare brief of store requirements

§ Has basic understanding of retail principles

§ Able to design the basic layout of a store via computer if not busy.

§ If too many stores to design, able to brief clearly and work with design company in the design of a store

§ Able to also work with construction company in constructing the store

§ When store is being built, check that the design suits the actual layout after handover.

§ Will check on the store at least once a week.

§ Will do the final check of location once it has been finished and handed over to retail group

§ Look continually to how to improve current fixtures to make it not only better looking but more practical. This could for example mean sourcing better face out fixtures

§ Development maintenance program for fixing all stores maintenance issues

v Material Sourcing

Find all required materials for the stores and ensure they are used for the stores.

Please be proactive and not reactive. I want to hear ideas all the time on how things can be done better, or improved. Please do not wait for me to always give a directive.

Always give timelines in whatever you do. If you are not going to meet your timelines, please let the other party know.

v Leadership

Need to learn how to act like a leader - get people to follow you. People want to work with you...not only internally but externally.

Start by learning how to manage your staff and setting clear direction for the roles of marketing communications.

v Team Work

Work well with other people - I want to hear that people enjoy working with you.

Assist others, even if it is not necessarily your job. We all need to help each other.

§ This could be as small as answering someone else's phone and taking a message, to helping someone finish their work earlier so they can leave earlier.

v Integrity

If you say you are going to do something, do it.

No one should ever doubt your integrity and honesty, especially in marketing, Please never do anything that would cause anyone to even doubt your integrity

Knowledge / Skill

v Good at reading and writing English

v Proficient in Computer work. CAD, 3D Max, Office, etc...

v Has worked designed stores before

Has coordinated on the opening of stores before.

v Worked in a interior design company for at least 1 years.
