Job Responsibilities:

Become part of Supplier Engineering Team in Engineering organization. Responsible to assess technical process capabilities for new suppliers, work with defined segment of existing supply base to drive continuous improvements in quality, and work collaboratively with Suppliers, Design and Manufacturing Engineering to effect the rapid resolution oftechnical problems and quality issues. Make significant contributions to cost management process team. Drive improvements in supplier process capability linked to improvements in Tektronix cost, quality and delivery.Advance assigned commodities to a proactive/ strategic Supplier Engineering focus.
1.Perform assessments to verify supplier process capabilities, quality systems, and plans are adequate to consistently provide conforming material. Develop and implement plans and strategies to close gaps.
2.Play a key role in success of assigned commodity teams including achievement of cost targets, quality goals, and supplier reduction objectives.
3.Lead Supplier Quality activities for assigned commodities.
4.Meet targets for continuous improvement in supplier quality for assigned commodities.
5.Participate in regular Supplier reviews and own supplier technical/ quality metrics.
6.Work on ongoing statistical based supplier quality management programs, incoming inspection auditing and verification, and scrap/ reject returns management for assigned commodities.
7.Achieve root cause problem resolution.

Job Requirements:

The successful candidate will be a proactive analytical thinker who excels in written/verbal communication and meets the following requirements.

1.BS in EE or ME, or enigneering background.
2.>5 years experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Supplier Development with demonstrated success in attainment of continuous cost and quality improvements from suppliers.
3.Applied knowledge and experience with statistics and statistical process control.
4.Experience and knowledge of Electrical/Mechanical Supplier processes.
5.Inter connector/cable harness supplier engineering experience desire.
6.Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams and manage supplier/ process change.
7.Understanding of inter connector/cable harness manufacturing and assembly processes.
8.Able to travel internationally. Regular travel for our China region supply base.
9.Preference to candidates with international experience.
10.Lean Six Sigma experience desirable including Six Sigma certification/ belt.
