Job Responsibilities
As a vital team member you will provide top-tier product and applications support for most Tektronix and Keithley products. Our customers are engineers, designers, purchasing agents and end users/partners within the largest and most advanced technology companies. Each day, you will join 1:1 with these customers to solve a broad variety of complex engineering challenges encountered as they invent, develop, deploy or maintain their current and next-generation products. They use (or be about to use) Tektronix and Keithley products and need our support when they meet any difficulty related. You will also work with our sales team and partners to drive customer preference for our products and provide pre-and-post-sale technical/product related support. Enabling your success is access to the highest-caliber engineering talent in the world, support tools, training and infrastructure that allow you to interact with customers in real-time, and a culture which encourages technical and professional growth. As an Applications Engineer at Tektronix you will be part of a global company, which leads in its markets, is recognized around the world for quality and engineering excellence, and which strives for total customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements
1. To succeed in this exciting role you must possess a recognized BSEE, or BSCS, which serves as a key foundation for professional growth.
2. You will need demonstrably excellent customer communication skills (written and verbal), both in English and Chinese.
3. You must also possess the ability to multi-task in a support-center-like environment (a call center environment), while simultaneously maintaining forward momentum on projects and initiatives you will participate in. So Time management ability is also very important.
4. Before online to solve customer's enquiries, you should experience 8-12 weeks learning process. You must possess a passion for teamwork and strong desire for learning. We are a highly motivated, hard-working team which is largely self-directed.
5. Operation and application experience with Tektronix or Keithley instruments is a strong plus for this position.
6. Skill and experience of SNMP/ XML C/ C++/ VB/ MATLAB…etc. is preferred. (any one kind)
7. PC and relevant software skills (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook) are required. We have quite a few documentation job daily. Additional experience in Sales, Marketing, and/or engineering is a plus.
