Job Description:

We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced, hands-on software developer to make an important contribution to our new product plans. The successful candidate will design and develop storage device driver stack on Linux for PCIe-based flash storage controllers. Candidate will work with architecture team to architect, design and develop high-performance device drivers/kernels. Candidate will also be responsible for maintaining existing driver codes, adding/extending features and supporting new hardware.

Minimum Qualifications:

· 4 -8 years of experience in Linux storage device driver development, including requirement analysis, design spec and test plan, coding, unit testing, performance optimization and trouble shooting

· Ability to profile, tune, diagnose and debug kernel code

· Extensive knowledge of OS internals, kernel programming, file system filter drivers, storage stack and storage technologies

· In-depth knowledge of PCIe and any storage protocol (SATA, ATA/IDE, SAS, SCSI or RAID)

· Experience with Linux/Unix open source development and communities for kernel/device drivers

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills

· Fast learner and team player with effective communications skills

· Ability to travel as necessary and perform additional job-related duties as requested

· BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience writing hypervisor native storage device drivers for VMware, Oracle or Microsoft

· Knowledge of Linux Virtio paravirtualization framework and drivers

· Experience writing drivers supporting multiple operating systems (Windows, Solaris, ESX/ESXi)

· Experience implementing PCIe hot-plug capable drivers

· Ability to coach, mentor and train junior technical staff overseas
