Job Description:
Overall purpose of role
This role will support the Country Head in building, maintaining and developing markets in North China by creating and sustaining effective partnerships with PiL including tuition providers and HEIs, local accounting bodies and stakeholders; initiating and implementing activities in North China for ICAEW students that fully support delivery of the organisation's vision, objectives and strategy.
The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment executing both strategic and tactical plans for the business. The main responsibilities are to promote ICAEW qualification and brand to potential students and member prospects to build ICAEW's profile with leading employers and government bodies in the market.
Main responsibilities of role
Drive segment strategy based on deep understanding of specific segment/market.
Take lead of various marketing initiatives and collaterals in targeted segments
Build up expertise (intelligence/insights) and network (external/ internal) for the targeted markets/ segments
Lead and optimize project portfolio and pipeline for the respective segment. E.g. university, employer, associations and government sectors
Identify new business opportunities for ACA trainee program, Top up program with the recognized qualifications together with BD team;
lead/participate in cooperation activities with counterparts
Collect market information/insight in accountancy professional bodies, and transfer to our business opportunities, improve the market transparency
Proactively develop connections and potential cooperation opportunities with 3rd-party and Maintain close relationship with government and associations and in co-branding events and maximize ICAEW brand in North China market. E.g. To provide value-added service to ATE by conducting in house workshop, technical training and information sharing and inviting senior management from influential employers to speak and attend ICAEW event
Assist on national and local press release preparation to implement and promote ICAEW brand, manage social media platform and leverage social media platform to promote ICAEW brand, e.g., Zhihu, WeChat, Ticktock and other related channels.

Undertake any duties assigned by line manage
Establish and maintain valued relationships, at all levels, with top universities in North China.
Develop and implement activities plan for universities to build ICAEW brand and promote ICAEW qualifications.
Approach and support universities to apply for CPL and PiL schemes.
Report progress weekly and work with the Country Head to improve our overall lead generation and effectiveness.
Manage and organise the annual Conference/Summit; ‘ Business Challenge’; and attend the event to generate pipeline, engage with stakeholders, e.g. university tutors, students, accounting professions etc..
Plan and organise events/activities for ICAEW's members/students and potential members/students (information session, career talks) and be responsible for student support.
Identify credible tuition providers, set them up as PiLs, monitor and develop their offering.
Support Country Head in organising events such as Regional Academic & Tutor Conference.
Specific duties will vary from time to time in line with the business needs.
Candidate profile:
· Good standard of education, ideally to degree level (or equivalent)
· Proven experience of business development
· Understanding of professional membership organisations or similar, multi-stakeholder organisations
· Ability to manage multiple and complex projects, ability to manage and prioritise workload for self and others
· Good stakeholder management experience and ability to work collaboratively
· Focussed and results driven
· Ability to work in a matrix environment
· Polite and professional approach
· Good general IT skills
· Good understanding of curriculum development processes
· Fluent in Chinese and English, oral and written
