BASIC FUNCTION

Responsible for the integration of new products and processes into Global Faucet Operations in line with Operations Strategy and project requirements to meet agreed Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery metrics. 

Engage as a core project team member as the operations lead to ensure New Products are “Right the First Time,” while meeting business objectives.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Operate collaboratively with Plant Project Management team to ensure successful project execution in multiple plants simultaneously or new process implementation into single plant.
2. Project Manager for all operations functions such as quality, engineering, data services production, and materials, related to NPI and NPD projects.  These projects include, but are not limited to, New product launches, DFx initiatives, cost reduction implementation, capacity evaluations, supply chain integrity, costing, REA initiation, and process development.
3. Lead and assist cross functional operations teams through the development of a project timeline and maintain it throughout the life of the project.
4. Plan, estimate, create, and communicate the new product and process resource requirements for the plant and external support functions.
5. Responsible for effective and efficient communication of project status and updates to Operations Leadership, NPD organization and all plant leadership Globally as required
6. Responsible for developing and achieving scheduled launch date by use of clear project plans, risk management, and deliverable lists with clear deadlines.
7. Periodically present the status of the project to management. 
8. Facilitate and coordinate project activities to optimize  project timelines.
9. Identify, gain consensus, and assign responsibilities to alternate team members when necessary. Occasionally complete project tasks for team members who are absent or unable to complete tasks per the timeline.
10. Develop,  manage, and update the project budget with the team including development expense, capital tooling, and expense tooling.
11. Create plans, identify and define roles & responsibilities for team members in new or undefined processes.
12. Facilitate team meetings and record meeting minutes.
13. In collaboration with Global NPI organization, drive Automation, Manufacturing, and Quality input into New Product Development (NPD) projects to improve design effectiveness and reliability through DFx, Design Reviews, FMEA’s and regular feedback.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

B.S. degree from an engineering discipline. PMP certification preferred. 

Minimum of 5 years experience as a process engineer in a consumer goods manufacturing environment and minimum 3 years of product development & launch experience

1. Hands on Manufacturing and Project Management experience.
2. Experience of communicating information at all levels across various functions: written & verbally, concisely and accurately.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
4. A tenacious, enthusiastic, results driven individual with excellent time management skills.
5. A confident user of Microsoft office software & SAP
6. Must be structured and organized, with an ability to work on their own, within a team, and lead a small team.
