Job Descriptions:

To lead the activities of ICAEW in North China by developing membership growth opportunities; raising the profile and service offering of ICAEW with academia, businesses and accounting bodies in China; providing appropriate services to our members and students; supporting the work of other ICAEW departments.

• Develop and implement a business strategy to drive and meet ICAEW objectives and work with colleagues across ICAEW to deliver results.
• Maintain and develop relationships at all levels with current ICAEW Authorised Training Employers (ATE’s).
• Identify and build potential employers in North China to encourage them to apply for ATE status.
• Plan and implement ACA trainee recruitment activities.
• Identify opportunities to work with employers in terms of building the ICAEW brand and obtaining employers’ recognition.
• Manage relationships with international and local professional bodies and groups (British Embassy, British Council, British Chamber, CBBC, STA, CICPA, MoF, National Accounting Institutes) in North China.
• Report progress weekly and work with the Country Head to improve our overall lead generation and effectiveness.
  

• Plan and organise the annual summit, conference, events/activities for members in North China (Quarterly networking events; Thought leadership events) and be responsible for members’ support.
  

• Event management: take overall responsibility for all Technical Roadshows.

Specific duties will vary from time to time in line with the business needs.

Candidate Profile:

• Extensive experience of business development ideally within a professional services/ financial services sector and/or experience in an educational environment
• Demonstrable experience of building strong relationships internally and externally
• Excellent organisational skills
• Good communication skills (written, presentation and public speaking)
• Resourceful and results driven with excellent project management skills
• Familiar with Chinese social media marketing
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Fluent in Chinese and English, oral and written
• Frequent travel required as part of this role
