Quality Assurance & Control (Analyst, Technology & Operations)

Job Responsibilities:

    

To support the Team to build risk control mechanism and cultivate a risk awareness culture by :

• Identify/detect potential or actual business operations errors, data quality issues, (potential) regulatory breaches, non-compliant behavior
• Enhance operational efficiency on operational risk control processes (e.g. operational process, business operations document break monitoring process, etc.)
• Apply digitalized operational quality assurance and control management framework and mechanism through data analysis (e.g. develop predictive risk analysis and model building)
• Drive improvement opportunities on business operations execution through innovation to strengthen risk awareness, control and assurance
• Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
• Issues and follow-up actions verification and implementation

• Monitor ad hoc / routine risk identification alerts, data analysis on operational risks, regulatory breach, non-compliant behavior upon requests raised from regulators / internal quality assurance
• Work with T&O Functional Operations team, other business partners and IT to drive cross-departments operational process health check, and conduct monitoring and management reporting on escalations for subsequent follow up
• Prepare monthly management reports on operational risk update
• Prepare and establish daily and monthly dashboard for risk events and incidents for management review
• Host meetings and forums with difference stakeholders on operational risks discussion
• Accomplish operational risk reports, based on health-check results, self-inspections and audit reports, work closely with functional operations teams to propose and monitor on implemented solutions and actions.
• Prepare meeting materials and meeting minutes for internal and external meetings
• Provide guidance to branch Ops/functional team on regulatory requirements, follow up with them on the implementation of regulatory requirement and conduct self-check on quality execution
• Provide periodical risk report to regional and liaison with regional team for rolling out of regional risk policy.
• Support team members and team leader on other ad-hoc requests

                                                                            

    

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor and above in a recognized university
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in banking business preferably with operational background, operational risk management background or internal audit background.
• Good communicational skills and interpersonal skills to both lead and cooperate in a team
• Strong self-initiative to drive changes and implement actions
• Knowledge in data analytics methodology, operational risk analysis and statistics will be advantageous
• Solid problem analysis and solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills both in Chinese and English
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Good knowledge in transactional processing of trade, credit and cash would be an advantage
• Proactive and fast to adapt to changes
• Well-organized, detailed-eyed and ability to perform under stress
