POSITION SUMMARY:

The translation specialist is responsible for all tasks pertaining to providing translation services in both written and verbal formats. Must be able to translate, proofread, edit and submit promotional and informational copy in order to engage members, customers and other stakeholders. Must have a strong understanding of accounting terms and technical writing. Works as an intregal part of the research, publications

and communications team in China and with IMA headquarters to insure all communications are consistent and on message for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for translating and proofreading professional content for the use of marketing, PR, publication and academic research;
• Managing and coordinating translation vendors, freelancers and other experts and scholars to translate and proofread original content, organizing localization works, and responsible for the final quality of the output;
• Assisting in consecutive interpretation in meetings during senior leadership team and foreign experts visit China
• Responsible for the translation, proofreading and optimization of all copywrite-related work.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree or above, TEM 8 or similar level, with at least 3 years translation working experience, Certification of National Accreditation Examinations for Translators and Interpreters (NAETI) is preferred;
• Excellent translation and interpretation skills, solid foundation of both Chinese and English, rigorous in writing;
• Basic accounting and finance knowledge, similar education background or experience is required;
• Good communication skills with team spirit, strong organizational and coordination skills, responsible and detail-oriented.
• Excellent written and oral English skills;
• Proactive, responsible and detail-oriented.
