职位描述

Overall Role Summary

The post holder is responsible for the development, promotion and sales of Open Access publishing within the territory.

A core part of the role includes promotion of Open Access services to the research community, as well as assisting in the development of sales strategy and product development.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to input into the direction, scope and development of the role moving forward.

Key Accountabilities

· To implement a sales and marketing strategy that identifies opportunity for growth in the territory

· Leading the team work effectively, including marketing and communication.

· To work closely with key colleagues to increase revenue from APCs across the region

· To constantly assess the territory to have a good overall knowledge of developments, working with the sales team to identify possible opportunities and then to negotiate on those

· To approach institutions and research funding bodies to promote T&F’s OA programme and explain possible funding schemes and promotion

· Develop the expansion of OA pre-payment schemes within the region

· Develop new sales schemes in the territory which tie in with T&F’s OA strategy

· Attend library meetings and conferences to build relationships and disseminate T&F’s OA message

· Successfully negotiate and agree sales proposals in line with the global OA strategy

· Keep abreast of the developing initiatives of other publishers and funding bodies

· Achieve volume year revenue targets

· Produce regular reports on activities and development opportunities

· Prospect for new customers in countries that are developing their OA mandate

· Maintain relationships with various stakeholders to achieve sales targets & maximising customer satisfaction

· Work effectively with colleagues from different departments to promote T&F’s OA Programme and to ensure great working relationships and maximum cooperation

· Identify promotional needs internally and promotional opportunities externally to maximize promotion and revenue building

· Build long term client relationships by identifying with them and offering support to their business where possible and proffering information to build a case for additional business involvement

· Provide quotes and negotiate with existing and new customers to increase revenue

· Effectively maintain and update the CRM system, Salesforce.com to ensure information is captured

· Take responsibility for projects within Journals Sales Department and the wider company where coordination between departments is needed to increase communication and match goals

Knowledge and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of:

· PHD of STM

· Have at least 6 years of Sales or Marketing experience

· Have excellent knowledge of Open Access and initiatives within the region

· Proven track record of coordinating successful sales campaigns
