Manages IC implementation for key programs and successfully executes the programs against established commitments.
Acts as the focal point of contact and a coordinator and manages all external and internal communications to cross-functional teams spanning geographical and organizational boundaries. Plans and directs schedules; identifies and escalates issues; drives problems to resolution; and identifies and manages risk. Programs include implementing SOC from RTL to GDS. The position requires technical understanding of whole design flows and methodologies, IC manufacturing process and schedule control. The program manager must have a strong background and proven track record in project management. The candidate must be able to organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/program on schedule and with high quality. The individual must be able to manage multiple projects at the same time, recognize and mitigate risks, and work proactively on contingency plans. The candidate must be process-oriented with emphasis on clear and documented communication.
Manages the development and implementation process of company's products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a product or computer-based system to external or internal customers. Leads and directs teams in strategic and tactical aspects. Provides business and management expertise and consultation. Identifies needed resources to achieve timely deliverables; plans and directs schedules; identifies and escalates issues; drives problem resolution through fact-based, conscious decision making; and manages risk and change from conception to delivery. Defines, promotes, implements and improves team, cross-functional and cross-departmental business and engineering processes and practices.
Requires a minimum of BSEE or equivalent science degree. MSEE or related field graduate degree preferred. 10+ years hands on experience in State of the Art Digital design Implementation flow from Synthesis to Place & Route design or EDA tool support in flow & methodology specialized in RTL2GDS implementation flow. Possesses a full understanding of specialization area plus working knowledge of multiple related areas. Independently resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways on a regular basis. Able to communicate clearly and effectively. Able to work independently and create and meet schedules.
Customarily exercises independent judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions. Performs in project leadership role. Contributes to complex aspects of a project. Determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is independent and collaborative in nature. Provides regular updates to manager on project status. Represents the organization on business unit and/or company-wide projects. Guides more junior peers with aspects of their job. Frequently networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
