Scope of Job:

The Figure & Theming Coordinator is one of the key representatives of Little BIG City Beijing to Media, Visitors and other Partners. He / she is responsible for the creation / design / production of new creative scenes, supporting the maintenance of all models within the attraction and ensures the availability of a wide range of parts / figures for replacment so that LBCB meets the global brand and quality standards at all time. He / she will play a key role in the creative process in terms of core attraction / model development, seasonality and education.

JOB PURPOSE

• External Comunication / Marketing

  • Work closely with the Marketing Team to deliver external PR events including TV, radio and print media interviews.

  • Support the Marketing Team with historical related informations (e.g. MMB Blog, Model details, Photo documentation, etc.).

  • Lead marketing initatives / events on site (e.g. Junior Construction panel, Minifigure trading, etc.).

  • Support Marketing and OPS with background informations on scenery (e.g. historical context) for Interpretation, Guide Book, Schools resources, etc.

• Figure & Scene creation and Maintenance

  • Design new figures and costumes using design software.

  • Coordinate Figure production process with 3rd party companies.

  • Colouring of Figures and Models

  • Plan and build new scenes for the attraction to upgrade the attraction constantly, ensure PR coverage and high guest statifaction.

  • Ensure all models are clean and in a good condition.

  • Support seasonal events in regards of decoration and figure content for the whole attraction.

  • Ensure figures (incl. trees etc.) and other equipment (e.g. Paint, brushes, tools) are well stocked.

  • Work closely with the technical team to develop interactive models and ensure e.g. lightning is sufficient for all displays and ensure daily checks of all displays to ensure a high standard.

  • Ensure regular communication with internal stakeholder (e.g. MMM, other MMB, etc.)

  • Ensure and lead further development of interpretational signage and ensure signage is historical correct, easy to understand and has high visibility.

• Health & Safty

  • all team members are responsible for the safety of themselves, colleagues and guests in line with Group Policy HS001 and the law. In particular, ensuring the follow safe working procedures at all times, and do not used any tools or equipment for which they have not been trained. Where incidents do occur, they must ensure they are reported to line management and that investigations are co-operated with.

• Other / general duties

  • Deliver memorable guest experience through delivering the Merlin Way in every aspect of work.

  • Undertake any additional activities as required by line manager, for example Technical Duty shifts
