UTS International is recruiting a Communications Consultant (China) to implement UTS’s International marketing and communication strategy in China, with a strong focus on social and digital media.
The Communications Coordinator (China) is responsible for ensuring that UTS International develops and maintains quality communications, especially for social media in China, that are strategic, innovative and cohesive, facilitating relationship-building with international applicants and students, student recruitment agents, university stakeholders, partners, media, alumni and parents. The position will be based in the UTS Office in Beijing.

Main duties/responsibilities:

- Collaborating on UTS International’s marketing and communications strategy for China and managing resources to enhance our profile/brand and promote UTS programs and events in China;
- Assisting with planning, researching and implementing projects and campaigns in relation to marketing, media relations, advertising, publications, digital media, social media and events consistent with UTS International and UTS’s strategic goals for China;
- Marketing and promotion of UTS to primary and secondary audiences in China, including prospective and current international students, alumni, parents, international recruitment agents, partners, industry, media and government;
- Reviewing and reporting on the effectiveness of communication initiatives in China;
- Working collaboratively with UTS International, Marketing and Communication Unit and Faculties in Sydney, and UTS Beijing Office in China, to maximise opportunities through media, communication and marketing activities in China;
- Oversight and maintenance of UTS social media channels in China (strategy development and management);
- Development and distribution of Chinese-language collateral (print and digital).

Experience required:
经验要求:
- Experience developing and implementing successful communication strategies to achieve organisational objectives and in undertaking qualitative analysis to measure effectiveness;
- Demonstrated experience writing and producing communications for various international target audiences in China;
- Demonstrated experience integrating emerging, multimedia, mobile and social networking technologies into communication strategies;
- Experience working in the tertiary education sector preferable;
- Overseas work experience or working in an international team or environment preferable.

Skills required
技能要求:
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills. Native Chinese speaker and excellent English-language skills. (IELTS 7; CET-6);
- Solid research skills to develop client understanding, and deliver targeted and impactful communication;
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation and analytical skills, displaying independent judgement, creativity and innovative thinking;
- 拥有极强的口头和书面沟通能力。母语为汉语,并具有出色的英语能力。(大学英语6级或雅思7分);
- 具备扎实的研究技巧,增进客户理解,以实现有针对性和有影响力的沟通;
- 良好的解决问题、谈判和分析能力,拥有独立的判断力、创造力和创新思维
This appointment will be on a fixed term full-time basis for a period of 3 years.
