现场应用工程师将以支持团队成员的身份开展工作，直接向总部汇报，工作地点是在新设的上海办事处。在该岗位上，将为中国的 FLIR 高级数码相机技术产品的用户提供直接技术支持。还将负责在中国收集客户、应用和市场方面的信息。该职位的职责还包括拜访客户和分销商，有助于进行现场故障排除和培训。该岗位的职责还包括参加一些区域贸易展览和研讨会。
除了成为一名优秀的问题解决者外，了解客户整体技术要求和业务需求的能力也将成为在该岗位中取得成功的关键。

要求：
- 流利的普通话（口语和写作）
- 基本的英语能力（口语和写作）
- 出众的问题解决和沟通能力
- 优秀的全方位技术知识（PC 硬件、软件、基本的编程）
- 较强的人际交往能力
- 较强的客户服务和/或支持经验
- 富有责任感、可靠、良好的组织能力
- 良好的 C、C++、C# 或其他面向对象的编程语言知识
- 能够定期在中国境内出差
- 能够申请到前往加拿大的签证，前往总部参加培训、会议等。

其他技能（优先考虑）：
- 具备 FireWire IEEE-1394、GigE、USB 和摄像机链路技术方面的知识
- 具备机器视觉、图像处理、数码相机、光学系统等方面的知识。
- 掌握其他语言者优先考虑

Reporting directly to the head office, the Field Application Engineer will work as part of the support team out of a new office in Shanghai. In this role, they will provide direct technical assistance to users of FLIR’s advanced digital camera technology products in China. They will also be responsible for collecting customer, application, and market information in China. The position will also include visiting customers and distributors to help with in-field troubleshooting and training. The role will also include some participation in regional trade shows and seminars.
In addition to being an excellent problem solver, the ability to understand the customer’s overall technical requirements and business needs will be key to the candidate’s success in the role.

Requirements:
- Fluency in Mandarin (spoken and written)
- Basic English (spoken and written)
- Exceptional problem solving and communication skills
- Excellent all-around technical knowledge (PC hardware, software, general programming)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service and/or support experience
- Ability to be responsible, reliable, and well organized
- Good knowledge of C, C++, C# or other object-oriented programming language
- Able to travel within China on a regularly basis
- Able to obtain a visa to Canada, and travel to head office for training, meetings, etc.

Additional Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of FireWire IEEE-1394, GigE, USB and CameraLink technologies
- Knowledge of Machine Vision, Image Processing, Digital Camera, Optical system etc.
- Other languages will be an asset
