职位描述：
The core role of the School Doctor is to oversee the health and safety of the school community, providing both preventative measures and treatment to sick or injured community members.

Major duties and responsibilities

· Attend to any injury sustained by students or community members within the school campus (or at a school event) and render first aid treatment to the patient.

· Arrange for emergency transport if necessary, and whenever possible accompany the patient to the nearest hospital for emergency treatment. Alternatively arrange for a responsible adult to accompany the patient to hospital.

· Notify parents/caretakers or next of kin of patients’ condition whenever a reportable injury occurs.


· In-service staff with regard to basic first aid skills so that teachers can assist students in the event of an injury should the school doctor not be available.

· Provide and maintain a secure, fully stocked medical clinic, with up-to-date medication

· Submit an annual budget to the HOS for annual expenses.

· Maintain and be proficient in the use of an up-to-date database on all students enrolled, including:

- Parents/guardians emergency telephone numbers; Alternative emergency telephone number, should parent/guardians be unavailable (accessible via Powerschool)

- Personal details including birth date, place of birth, siblings in school, blood group, dates of vaccinations, allergies, list of medications taken regularly, existing medical conditions such as asthma, congenital heart disease, epilepsy, kidney disease, diabetes, etc.

- Consent to administer medications if required.

· Inform parents/guardians by letter of any infectious disease at school and their particulars such as symptoms and incubation period, in consultation with the Head of School and Principals.

· Educate students, in consultation with the Principals, on:

- Healthy diet

- Personal hygiene

- Healthy lifestyle, i.e. exercise, dangers of smoking, alcohol, drugs, etc.

- Counselling on matters relating to puberty

- Prevention of common injuries.

· Supply teachers with any information required for informed discussions with students on topical health matters.

· Provide information to the community on vaccination programmes available in China, such as Hepatitis A & B.

· Provide information to the community on diseases when advisable.

· Provide the information to the community on medical services available in PR China.

Qualifications and experience generally required for the job:

· Appropriate Medical Degree

· 3+ years of health Industry experience, preferably with children.

· A working proficiency in both English and Mandarin

Beijing International Bilingual Academy (BIBA) was founded in 2006 by a group of passionate educators with a mission to develop students with bilingual capability and is well versed in both Eastern and Western culture.
