Microsoft’s University Recruiting Team is looking for a University Recruiter (for Specialized Skills and PhD for Core Tech Positions) to join our diverse and dynamic workforce and to help the company transform by mapping, sourcing, assessing, hiring and engaging with the top students from the said hot skills and PhD class. University Recruiter – University Relations have a passion for telling our MS story and will be the face of Microsoft at our top, targeted global programs and will be our key talent generator at these highly competitive institutions. You will lead pivotal company presentations with Microsoft executives and extend relationships and partnerships with target universities. You will provide top-notch candidate experiences for top talent, partnering closely with University Recruiting Leaders globally.



Responsibilities include:

• Campus Strategy – Create, deliver and execute efficient, innovative candidate sourcing strategy for Greater China Region (GCR) that seeks to elevate MSFT-GCR’s brand in the external market

• Campus Engagement - Develop and implement campus engagement strategy which serves to tell the Microsoft Story on Campus; Drive, manage logistics and execute engaging company presentations and events that drive interest in Microsoft

• Relationship Management- Develop visibility and build relationships with key university stakeholders to successfully implement campus engagement strategy that co***erts high quality candidates to offer accepts

• Candidate sourcing and identification- Attracting and closing the highest quality candidates for the specialized skills/PhD; Develop candidate generation plans for GCR and for candidates interested in returning or working in GCR; Oversee, execute against and ensure excellent candidate experience is top priority, both from a timing and quality in execution standpoint

• Candidate tracking and pipeline management- communicate, track and report progress against candidate generation plans and pipelines; Drive interactions, assessments and interview days to enhance candidate and hiring manager satisfaction; Liaise with University Recruiter – Account Management with candidate pipeline to fulfill Microsoft’s hiring needs and keep local and global stakeholders informed about progress

• Internship Program Management—Develop and implement consistent intern program that functions as incubator for early in career hiring. Establish university recruiting & intern program goals and objectives tied to overall business goals



Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree or equivalent is required.

• Master’s degree, or equivalent, in a related field (CS, HR, MBA, Learning & Development) is preferred.

• 5-7 years technical, university recruiting and/or recruiting experience in a results oriented e***ironment

• In-depth understanding of the specialized skills’ talent market and resourceful/skillful to develop the relations with labs, faculties and target students;

• A sense of market intelligence/competitor information collecting and data driven strategy setting;

• Initiative, willing to try new challenge with a balanced mind of ROI on initiatives;

• Experience and expertise managing multiple candidates and developing recruiting strategies.

• Must be able to travel as required and work through peak academic & hiring periods

• Ability to meet or exceed talent acquisition metrics including individual productivity targets, diversity and client & candidate satisfaction.

• Team player, highly responsive and customer focus orientated and strong organizational and planning skills.

• Strong project management experience preferred; primarily focused on owning and delivering on complex projects from beginning to end.

• Language - fluent English and Mandarin
