GIS Intern
The Chinalco-Rio Tinto Exploration (CRTX) company was established in 2011 to explore for copper, coal, potash, iron ore, nickel and borates in the People's Republic of China. The company is a joint venture between two of the world's leading minerals and metals producers Chinalco and Rio Tinto. We aim to operate as a seamless organisation that maximises the benefits of standard and shared approaches for every activity. The Company's objective is to maximise total shareholder return by sustainably finding, developing, mining and processing natural resources. Our major exploration targets are copper, coal and potash. To assist with growing and developing CRTX's business in China, we are looking for GIS Interns to join the CRTX Beijing office, reporting to the Information Specialist.
Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
? Upload documents to SharePoint;
? Complete metadata fields for all documents;
? Attribute and edit Geology/Tenement maps;
? Other tasks assigned by leader.
To be considered for this role you will have:
? Have basic Geology knowledge;
? GIS related software experience is a must, ArcGIS is preferred;
? MS office software skills are required;
? Good command of both spoken and written English;
? Long term internship or candidates who know SharePoint well will be preferred.
