This position is for SAP Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise(ASE). ASE is a high-performance relational database management system for mission-critical, data-intensive environments. It ensures highest operational efficiency and throughput on a broad range of platforms.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
§ Uses established software engineering concepts, principles and processes to achieve committed results.
§ Implements, executes and evaluates unit tests for product components.
§ Performs simple functional test development from test specifications.
§ Performs test maintenance for assigned features.
§ Performs test execution, analysis and reporting for assigned features.
§ Maintains defect tracking for assigned features.
§ Works to assigned schedules and communicates issues that impede progress.
§ Performs other related duties as assigned.
§ Maintains test environments.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
§ Able to self-organize own work
§ Has Analytic thinking and problem solving skills
§ University degree or equivalent
§ Good knowledge on RDBS
§ Good understanding of testing methodologies
§ Fluent English writing
§ Willingness to be cross-functional
§ Self motivator
§ Fast learner
Beneficial Skills to have:
§ Experience with SAP Sybase ASE
§ Experience with Unix, Shell Script, TCL, VI
