Job purpose
Support the Control Risks China business in expanding its profile through creative, targeted and well executive marketing activities.
Tasks and responsibilities
? Actively contribute and add value to the key themes and thought leadership across a wide range of risk, geo-politics, business intelligence, compliance, crisis and resilience
? Create and implement a strategic, actionable marketing and communications plan that enhances the brand in the region
? Using best practice marketing techniques, identify and execute multi-channel campaigns to deliver key messages
? Develop relationships with key press outlets and reporters to provide greater public relations exposure for Control Risks
? Manage all the media activities to increase exposure / awareness of Control Risks, including monitoring the media, researching opportunities, collating, distributing and following up press releases to targeted media
? Develop and support the execution of a marketing plan to specifically target Chinese companies, in and outside of China
? Develop and manage a calendar of initiatives, both internal and external, which will support the strategic marketing plan
? Identify key trade associations and professional bodies which Control Risks should engage with and manage those relationships to obtain maximum value
? Identify and qualify external events for relevance to Control Risks, negotiate sponsorships deals, and manage engagement with the event organisers
? Plan, manage and deliver all company events including venue selection, budget management, attendee list, invitations, collateral and post-event follow-up
? Actively work with regional and global marketing teams and business development teams to leverage campaigns wherever appropriate
? Monitor regional and global initiatives to ensure the correct clients are targeted and supported
? Provide Chinese proofreading support for marketing collateral
Knowledge and experience Essential
? Experience working in professional service marketing and communications for a global consultancy focused on supporting Chinese companies with their international expansion.
? Proven experience in developing and executing a creative marketing plan that aligns with key business objectives
? Proven experience providing strategic marketing advice to management
? Content marketing and event management experience
? In-depth experience and relationships with the Chinese media
? Experience in marketing knowledge and research to a business audience
? Detailed knowledge of and interest in the current business environment, world economics and geo-politics
? Ability to create and manage budgets effectively
? 8+ years working experience in supporting and executing marketing and communications activities.
? A flair for writing and communications
? Willingness to be hands-on
? Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred
? About two to three years of experience in supporting and executing marketing and communications activities, preferably from a professional services background.
? Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English
