Job Description

* Review tax filing and tax compliance (direct and indirect taxes) – in addition to tax advisory work, also responsible for tax health check of group entities and providing support to tax compliance projects.
* Manage relationship with tax authorities on all tax related matters
* Provides tax consultation in all major business transactions and tax planning matters. Provide tax education and training and serve as source of tax information for Bus and functions through periodic meetings and trainings sessions.
* Manage special projects that arise from time to time, such as mergers and acquisitions, financing structures, and business/entity integration, formation, and dissolution
* Understand criteria and process for tax subsidy application in ensuring maximum tax subsidy collection in a timely manner
* Develop guidelines and work flow for VAT filing and compliance for local branches with central oversight
* Compute monthly corporate tax accounting booking (current tax, deferred tax and provision for uncertain tax position) for all branches globally in compliance with correspondence GAAP and other local financial reporting requirements
* Provide support to the planning, budgeting and forecasting process, i.e. estimate monthly tax expense and tax cash flow forecast
* Review group transfer pricing documents of each entity. Support all intercompany service contract development to control the overall TP risk
* Draft and review inter-company/inter-branch agreements, to ensure proper treatment of inter-company/inter-branch transactions; that is tax efficient and also meet the requirements of overseas fund remittance
* Actively manage overseas fund remittance, by working closely with local tax authorities and banks if necessary
* Keep up to-date with new tax rules and regulations in the region, and lead tax reform within the Company to ensure compliance and tax efficiency
* Work closely with financial reporting team to ensure that proper books and records are maintained at each branches, that meet local tax requirements
* Prepare the statements and explanation letters which are used for submission to tax bureau, in tax consultation cases.


Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:

* Above 3 years' working experiences in tax function. Demonstrated and thorough knowledge of (1) Chinese tax law, regulations, and administrative practice, (2) international tax treaties and OECD tax principles, and (3) current trends in assessing practice and level of inherent tax risk in and out of China, (4) Accounting knowledge
 * Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite Skills
* Ability to work independently and without close supervision. Able to respond quickly to requests from management and business units, and prioritize a large number of projects. Must have the ability to understand, evaluate, and apply complex technical concepts in the context of commercial realities.
* Good exposure to international tax for the region, in-depth understanding of SEA tax is highly preferred
* Ability to develop and maintain good relationship with tax authorities (mainland China especially)
* Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
* Proven project leadership skill and ability to implement change
* Excellent knowledge of China tax - Corporate income tax, individual income tax, business tax, VAT, indirect taxes, stamp duties and China transfer pricing regulation
* Solid knowledge of correspondence GAAP tax accounting 举报 分享
